In 2012 Carousel took over the county contract for Rainbow Route 39 from Arriva the Shires. A pair of the Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MAN 12.240 buses were repainted in Carousel's version of Orange Line livery which was used on the Optare Versas used by Arriva. The Versas had been the newest buses in town when the brand new pair arrived for the 39, they left when Carousel took over the route. It was also the end for Arriva's lion share of the town's Rainbow Network. Bus stops and timetables still refer to the pink, green, blue and red, plus the Park & Ride, but branded route buses are not Arriva's forte with Wycombe town service Rainbow Routes coloured buses frequently ending up in Maidenhead, Slough and even Reading let alone the right bus on the right route in the town.
