Eastern National 2102 is a Leyland Titan PD1. Its body was a Leyland standard metal frame body
but was unusual as it was built in Scotland by Alexander. It was new in 1946 as City Coach Company LD1
and was used on the Wood Green to Brentwood section of the London to Southend express route.
It was numbered LD1, the first double-decker in City's fleet. It passed via Westcliff-on-Sea
Motor Services to Eastern National in 1954 who converted it open top in 1958.
In 1965 it went to its present owners who became the Springhill Vehicle Preservation Group.
From 1966 to 1969 LEV 917 toured during the summer through many central, eastern and southern
European countries. It is seen here at Cobham in 2003.
