Reading's Scania L94UB 1016 (YN05GXT) displayed at SHOWBUS in 2005 colour branded for route 9. It formed a trio with Konect's DAF DB250 decker and Road Car's Volvo B7RLE 832 (FX05GXK).

Sister vehicle 1013 (YN05GXP) is seen in service at Reading Station three years later.

Caught at Reading depot in July 2007 was the unique MAN 18.240 with lowheight East Lancs body, 501 (RX07RKV). It carried route 9 colours and entered service alongside the Scania singledecks. The bus has since been repainted and transferred to Newbury for the Newbury - Basingstoke service operated jointly with Stagecoach Hampshire Bus.

843 is route branded for the 15 & 16 services.

Scania N230UD East Lancs Olympus 843 (YN57FXC) is seen in St Mary's Butts in July 2008.
