In 2008 the pioneering purple liveried East Lancs bodied N94UDs were displaced by a fleet
of impressive new all-Scania Omnidekkas powered by ehthanol. The introduction of these "green" purple buses also
heralded an upgrade to the service with 24 hour operation. Initially the service was shared between the old and
new fleet as this July view shows with N94UD 806 (YN54AEX) heading to Tilehurst and Omnidekka 1114 (YN08MMU)
heading to town.

1104 (YN08MKU) is seen in St Mary's Butts in Reading town centre in its second month
of service.

Omnidekka 1103 (YN08MKP) looks impressive as it forks right for Tilehurst at Reading's
Cemetry junction.
