Duple Dominant bus bodies have not been well known for their durability, and Leyland Tiger and Volvo
B10M chassis have found themselves rebodied. This Tiger is seen in service in Reading on Jan 5th 1998, route
12 was once a joint Aldershot & District/Thames Valley working between the two companies operating headquarters
towns and the preserve of both Dennis Lolines and Bristol Lodekkas.

In mild contrast to the B10M above, this Derwent, also seen in Reading but on the 141, is believed
to be on a Leyland Tiger chassis, one of a batch originally delivered for service in Brixham.

Surprise purchases in 1998 were number of secondhand Volvo B10M doubldeckers with East Lancs
bodywork from London & Country, principally to cope with loadings on the Reading service.
H683HPF is seen here at Reading Station accompanied by a Reading Excel and a Reading Mainline
Routemaster, providing some stark contrasts.
