Reading Buses Olympian/Optare Titan, Olympian and Metrobus purchases (except for the London service Olympians) were typically dual door. In 1999 it was decided to instigate a programme of conversion to single door in the most unusual fashion, whereby the entire doorway is panelled over. This can be seen in the nearside rear view of one of the Olympians fitted with ECW style bodywork by Optare in its early days of manufacture.
