With the uncertainty over the Titan's future (as production was switched around the country), Reading
bought a few Olympians. However, when the opportunity to purchase surplus Mark 2 Metrobuses from
London Transport's Harrow Buses scheme, when still quite new, it was clearly an advantage having
large numbers of the Mark 1 Metrobus still in the fleet: 486 (E486SON). Note the Birmingham registration,
the vehicles being originally registered by MCW.
