Maybe Abellio never got the memo, but more probably their Olympics fleet of Dennis Trident Alexander ALX400s are due to return to dealers in standard white paint. Apparently LOCOG, the organising Olympic committee wanted the entire fleet of contracted Games vehicles painted white. Once the cost of painting 2000 buses white and back into fleet livery and the cost of extra time off service to achieve that was taken nto account, financial realism dawned. Most Olympic buses retained their fleet colours and the only additional cost born by LOCOG was the application of patches to obscure fleetnames that were not removed in an effort to protect sponsors. Prseumably this was not to offend First who were the official providers of Olympic trnsport. Here Trident 9778 (KU02YBN), former Connex TA78, leads two Stagecoach Enviro 300s from the Olympic Park on Super Saturday, August 4th 2012.

Heading to the Park is 9791 (KV02USG) former Connex TA91.

In the Olympics lane, south bound on the A12, is 9782 (KU02YBS), former TA82.
