A busy Summer day and newly delivered 54 (APN54B)
- a convertible open topper - joins battle with the traffic by the Main Pier. It and sister 53 were delivered
in bus livery, rather than the cream and black open top colours, perhaps to make passengers in the winter feel warmer?

non removable top! It heads towards Hove, in something of a hurry.

Eventually Brighton & Hove 'joined the crowd' and started to take delivery of foward entrance, normal length
Lodekkas, incuding these two 81 and 82 (JPM81-2D) newly delivered to Brighton depot - 81 still sporting
its trade plates from the delivery run.
