East Lancs bodied preserved AEC Regent V 408 (408DBO) took pride of place in the Cardiff Centenary Display. It was parked alongside the current fleet's doubldeck Volvo Ailsa 408. |

Cardiff city is unusually plaqued by lowbridges both on an east-west axis on the London line to West Wales and on lines running north up the valleys. Some may remember the fleet of singledeck trolleybuses acquired as part of this problem. In 1960 a batch of 6 AEC-Park Royal rear entrance Bridgemasters was acquired. Fifth in the batch, 365 (TUH365) is seen languishing in a yard in the company of former Aldershot and District lowheight Dennis Loline, 400 (400COR). Sadly the location cannot be recalled - it may have been in the North East. |
