Reading Buses Vectra in Oxford
This Reading Buses Optare Vectra is seen in Oxford on the long standing joint service between there and Reading - dating back to Thames Valley route 5 days. Route 5 boasted Thames Valley's first three Bristol RELLs with original style ECW coachwork, which feature in our Thames Valley gallery. The bus has, in common with the most of Reading's Optare Vectra fleet, transferred to IBT.

From a different era is this Leyland Tiger Cub of Islwyn's predecessor, the West Monmouthshire Omnibus Board, climbing the sides of one of South Wales steep valleys, some so steep that the Board bought a couple of Leyland Titan PD2 doubledeck chasssis and had them bodied as singledeckers to have the necessary power to climb the hillsides.
