Former Newport Alexander bodied Atlantean 99 (PDW99H) was for sale at the Cardiff Centenary Rally in 2002.

Struggling to survive was sister former Newport Corporation Alexander bodied Leyland Atlantean
believed to have been 96 (PDW96H). It was a short walk from Amstel station in Holland and attempting, in its new
role, to do competition with the local MacDonalds! The picture was taken back in 1998.

 Newport's love of Scanias started with the MCW-Scania semi-integral Metro-Scania singledecker. One is seen in the Borehamwood yard of BTS, the company later taken over as Sovereign London and, later still, Transdev. It is in the exotic company of a former London Merlin, ex Green Line Tiger/Duple TD25 and a pair of Alexander bodied Metrobuses. |
