City of Oxford AEC Renown Northern Counties FWL371E The Oxford fleet has long been plagued by lowbridges, restricting the operation of doubledeckers to lowbridge or, later, lowheight variants. Being an AEC fan, the Bridgemaster and Renown proved popular - particularly the latter. Most had park Royal bodies, but the last small batch delivered in 1967 were bodied by Northern Counties, who were to body the lowheight Fleetlines which followed. 371 (FWL371E) operated in NBC livery, as the photo shows. The bus is also seen on the Showbus 78 Road Run.
