Highbridge vehicles have always caused Oxford problems, not only the notorious Cowley Road
bridge in the city, but also in the rural hinterland. Vehicles were categorised into three groups, normal
height, lowbridge and those that could fit under Cowley Road bridge. The first two were always distinguished
by neing numbered in the 900 series, and secondhand London Titans like KYV529X is no exception as Oxford 954!

This vehicle and sister 658 (L53UNS) have joined the Oxford fleet where they meet up with
similar Volvo B10Bs with Northern Counties bodywork. 657 (L52UNS) and 658 were new to Whitelaw
of Stonehouse in Scotland.

Volvo B10B 624 (K128BUD) was also a secondhand acquisition, having been new to London General for the Clapham Omnibus service, 88. The long singledeckers were deemed unsuitable and replaced by older MCW Metrobuses in the capital, but they fitted in well at Oxford with the large fleet of B10Bs. Volvo B10B is seen in summer 2005, it subsequently passed to Solent Blueline, another Go-Ahead subsidiary.
