One of the most unusual sites is at Lewknor, just below the M40. Often two of the Tube's striking
doubledeckers can be seen briefly nestling under the motorway. Cars are scattered in lay bys and
even on the path under the bridge. This is a Park & Ride of an unusual nature!

Tube 55 (T55UBE) boasts a personal regsitration. It is seen here at EFE Showbus 1999 alongside
Paul S Winson's award winning Skyliner. 55 is one of the batch of Jonckheere bodied MANs to boast
wheelchair provision.

There was some delay between the official launch and the new doubldeck Tube coaches entering service.
This one is seen flashing down the M40 near High Wycombe just as services got under way.

With the service in full swing the red giants are now a familiar site on the M40 even in the December 1999
snows.

be seen at any one time!
