The first of Melbourne's Skybus new doubledeckers for the express link between Southern Cross Station and Tullamarine Airport was 101 (BS01LS). It arrived in July but the photo comes courtesy of Tony de Groot who captured it at Tullamarine on Monday. The delivery of the Australian built Bustech CDi dispensed with speculation that the buses might be Optare Metrodeckers, following on from the recent Solo SR deliveries. Currently four Bustechs are being used on the service. Huge luggage space means seating for only 10 downstairs, but a massive 53 upstairs, comparable to the seating capacity of the service's articulated buses.
