With Showbus last week there could have been loads of pictures to choose, but the reality is there is never time as organiser to take many pictures. Our photographer Chris Strong had special access within the park and his pictures will be available shortly. This nostalgic picture takes us back to the eighties when Julian Peddle's Stevensons of Uttoxeter supported the event wih vehicles like their Mercedes O405, Northern General Routemaster and Bedwas & Machen PD3. Julian has an involvement with Midland Classis and they have painted their recently acquired East Lancs bodied Scania Omnidekka in Stevensons colours, they have even given 55 (TFA13) a Burton-on-Trent registration. The Scania, like many buses, parked successfully on grass, though as many will know there was a disaster on the day when a Setra doubledecker got bogged down across the entry road and brought the entry procession to a halt for over an hour when the driver refused assistance from the tow out JCB, which he eventually had to accept. So this is probably the last time you will see a Stevensons liveried bus at Woburn Abbey.
