Sandlant Mercedes O500LE Express BS10PI V/line
Last weekend the Bus & Coach Society of Victoria, organised a two day trip to Hamilton stopping at numerous museums over the two days and included a visit to Sandlants in Stawell, home to their CAC Bedford under restoration. Earlier on the Saturday the BCSV visited Sandlant's Learmonth Museum, which amongst other items housed a pair of prewar buses, a Ford and a Dodge. Newest vehicle in the fleet was this smart Express bodied Mercedes O500LE, BS10PI, turned out in V/Line livery and used on a service connecting with trains to the popular Halls Gap beauty spot in the Grampians, which the group drove through after the Sawtell stop. A "bus" - it did have coach style seating - on V/Line work is highly unusual. It is seen heading off on a "trip around the block" with members of the BCSV party.
