Bayline Bedford RVL Hawke 44
Dating back to 1980, this Hawke bodied Bedford RVL, 44 (JY6507), like the bodies built on Bristol RE chassis, has ECW frames, giving it the appearance of a Bristol LH. The Bedford was new to Tauranga-Mount Maunganui Buses, which morphed into Bayline. The RVL chassis is something of a mystery, one theory is that it was Bedford's SB made under licence in India another suggests they were reconstituted from SB write-offs by the dealer/importer Ray Vincent Ltd (hence RVL).
