Accentuating the 38's route through the heart of London, stylised numbers have included a small heart shape between the 3 and the 8 as can be seen on this bus in Islington. The route's convenience for Sadlers Wells is highlighted, together with a joint marketing arrangement with LT.

The heart has been retained, but the livery modified early in 2000 as depicted here.

You wait ages for a bus then...
No less than 3 RMLs head for Clapton Pond, all with slightly differing livery layouts. |
To show things get no better, these 3 RMLs were photographed together on the 207 when the type was first introduced on to the route.
