Alder Valley Daimler Fleetline Marshall 799
Unusual M&D purchases were a batch of Marshall dual door bodied 36 feet long Daimler Fleetlines. At an early opportunity 3827 (SKO827H) was transferred to Alder Valley and is seen here at Aldershot depot as fleet number 799. Surrounded by NBC poppy red vehicles, it kept its apple green, albeit with Alder Valley fleetnames.

London Borough of Redbridge Bristol VRTSL3 ECW HKM885V
Three VRs, all with curved screens and 'unusual liveries' at SHOWBUS 99 at Duxford. First, in patriotic red, white and blue, is Hampshire Bus 3315 (GLJ467N), then winning best local authority bus from the London Borough of Redbridge, former Maidstone & District 5885 (HKM885V) and still in United Counties deregulation livery, preserved 794 (GRP794L). The Redbridge bus was sold in 2004 to the RMTU union and on for scrap four years later.
 
Blenheim Palace Bristol VRTSL3 ECW Tour Bus
Blenheim Palace is a popular out of Oxford tourist destination and a pleasant country drive, particularly from the top deck of an open topper. This ex Maidstone VR was dedicated to the service.
 
Cedar Coaches MCW Metrobus A201OKJ
Cedar Coaches of Bedford acquired MCW Metrobus 2 5201 (A201OKJ) seen here on display at Millennium Showbus. It returned in 2011 in preserved form, restored to M&D livery as part of the M&D Centennial Display.
 
Prestwood Travel Scania K92CRS East Lancs D207MKK
A number of interesting high capacity East Lancs bodied Scania K92CRS singledeckers like D207MKK was originally delivered to Maidstone Borough Council. This singledecker found its way to Prestwood Travel via Seamarks of Luton who used it primarily to cope with school loads on the 88 Luton - Stevenage service.
