Former VRTSL6G 6690 (HKE690L) transferred to Hastings & District on the company's formation in 1983 and was deroofed by them in 1991. It is seen here at the M&D Centenary Rally in the livery of Magictaxi who had acquired it from Chepstow Classic Buses in 2006. It appears to eb promoting South East Coachwaorks and the sign by the door says they are about to fully restore it, though maybe without the roof.

Former M&D 1959 lowbridge Atlantean L44 (44DKT) served with Orpington & District, the fledging fleet that metamorphised into Go-Ahead's Metrobus subsidiary. Their pioneering 853 route needed a lowbridge bus, but they also utilised minibuses. The bus is seen at twilight.
