Thames Transit Dennis Lance Plaxton Verde
Thames Transit did run a few full size buses, as exemplified by this Dennis Lance with Plaxton Verde bodied vehicle squeezing through traffic hindrances en route to Woodstock (in Oxfordshire, not the USA!)

Thames Transit Ford Transit Mellor 137
Seen in Gloucester Green is one of the last of Thames Transit's once large fleet of Ford Transits, 137 (D137PTT), it being one with the trendy looking Mellor coachwork. Now sporting a discreet Stagecoach Oxford window sticker, the bus appears to be used as a staff runabout - here seen in Gloucester Green, doubtless relaying Tube crew to and from the depot.

Red Rose Ford Transit Mellor D124PTT
Smartly turned out in Red Rose colours, this ex Transit Holdings Mellor bodied Transit finds a useful niche in the Red Rose fleet. It was often found on the Aylesbury Town Service, but in this picture had recently had seats removed to make it an 8 seater allowing use as a runabout without a qualified bus driver. It was loaned for use at SHOWBUS 1999, but its water pump failed at Duxford on the Saturday and it returned to Aylesbury on tow.

Pete's Travel Ford Transit Mellor 125
Sister vehicle 125 (D125PTT) found its way to Pete's Travel in Birmingham and is seen here in service in Summer 1999.

Pete's Travel Ford Transit Mellor 211
Another Mellor Transit, 211 (E211BDV), also passed to Pete's Travel and appeared preserved as such, at SHOWBUS in 2003.
