Sheffield Leyland Atlantean Park Royal 748 SYTM Road Show Bus
This old Sheffield Park Royal bodied Atlantean, 748 (BWB148H), was converted by South Yorkshire PTE, including a facelift, as a travelling promotion and information bus, dubbed the "Road show". The bus has been acquired by the South Yorkshire Transport Museum and its livery - at least - modified to promote the Museum at various events. The bus is seen in the Museum in July 2018.

South Yorkshire PTE Daimler Fleetline Park Royal 710
Unfacelifted Park Royal bodied Atlantean 710 (HWJ710J) is seen in Sheffield some forty years earlier. The big yellow sign on the front indicated the bus was fitted with the Videmat self service system.

South Yorkshire PTE Leyland Fleetline Roe 1442
There's snow on the ground as Roe bodied Leyland Fleetline 1442 (LKU342P) negotiates a roundabout.

South Yorkshire PTE Leyland Fleetline MCW 1524
Continuing South Yorkshire PTE's quirky purchases they bought a batch of virtually standard London DMS Leyland Fleetlines with MCW bodies. This is 1524 (OKW524R). Most obvious external difference was the SYPTE blind layout and to the right of the front blind the speaker for the siren fitted for the driver to signal if he was in distress. Red Rover of Aylesbury acquired three of these buses secondhand and the siren was a great way of announcing the arrival of their prestige Linkline service in the sonerous chamber of Aylesbury Bus Station.
