 Forward to August 2008 and a pair of the CR228L bodied O500LE Mercedes are parked in Darwin Bus Station. In front is 173 (MO2624), numerically the last of that batch of fifteen and behind is 174 (MO3036) the only bus delivered that year, though the Buslink fleet did receive other vehicle types in 2008. As always Darwin;s August weather is picture perfect, around 30C, cloudless blue skies and low humidity. |
 On layover out at Palmerston North Bus Station in August 2008 was a contrasting pair of Volgren bodied Mercedes buses. On the left is 2004 delivery 151, seen earlier in 2005, whilst on the right is a Volgren CR221L style body on the O405NH chassis dating from 1997, 152 (MO2110). It joined 151 in Melbourne, but working as a driver trainer for Transdev, still in Darwin livery as their 800 (BS02OH) in 2018. Just off to the left is Darwin Bus 109 (MO3843), a 1998 MAN SL202, also with CR221L body, which passed to Adelaide Metro as their 1357 (SB60KB). |
