 Spotted on a test run from the Volgren plant in Dandenong in May 2017 was Volgren Optimus bodied Mercedes O500LE 210. As yet unregistered it sports the new Buslink logo above the door.

 The rear view of the Optimus body is a big improvement on the mournful CR228L and gives the bus a substantive look. This is now the new Buslink standard and was one of two delivered in 2017, the bus gained rego MO3463 in the Northern Territory.
