New low floor Dart purchases by Thamesdown standardised on the long SPD 41 seat
version. This Thamesdown SPD model on show at SHOWBUS in 1998 was amongst the first
built. It is photgraphed alongside the Dennis SPD demonstator, R739TMO, which was
on loan to Harris Bus at Grays at the time.

SPD 197 (Y197VMR) is aptly named "Magnificent", which is how it looked at EFE SHOWBUS International 2001. |

Summer 2003 saw this SPD on display at what may well have been the last Southsea Spectacular.

 SPD Dart 215 (WX04CZL) was painted in this gold colour scheme to celebrate 100 years of service to the town of Swindon. The bus is seen at North Weald bus rally that year (2004) and also put in an appearance at SHOWBUS in September, and doubtless took part in numerous other events including Thamesdown's own celebrations at Wroughton. |
 Relatively speaking the celebrations were short lived and the bus was soon in normal fleet colours and appeared as such operating the disabled access site shuttle at EFE SHOWBUS International in September 2005. It shared the service with a TWM Trident. |
