Before it was given charge of South Midland, Thames Valley maintained its own small coach fleet. With South Midland acquired, Thames Valley adopted their distinctive maroon and cream livery as its own coach colours. here Thames Valley LS6G 676 (HBL78) is seen on the forecourt of Reading Station.

866 was unique in the fleet, being the only MW with the RELH style of coachwork. It is seen in Southend at the Kursal Coach park in 1970. 866 (520ABL) was partnered by 867 (521ABL), the prototype REX coach for South Midland. Uniquely it featured short bay windows, similar to 866's.

866 is seen again in later years parked in Reading's Bus Station being with a Bristol greyhound RELH passing by. The Greyhounds used to call in Reading and transfer local passengers to Thames Valley's B service and then took to the new M4 motorway which used to by pass just Maidenhead and Slough.
