Here D839 is in Belfast at the ITT rally in the company of Alexander (Belfast)
bodied City Swift CIE Volvo Olympian RA271.
School buses in Ireland have been a phenomenon alien to the UK, but have produced some interesting vehicles
over the years. Seen at Showbus 97, SS90 (EZL90) is a Duffy bodied Bedford VAS5, purpose built for the job. Other vehicles
are often cascaded from the main CIE fleet, often gaining an S in their fleet number in the process.
Most interesting are probably the recently imported Volvo AB57s with New Zealand Motor Bodies
coachwork after a life time of service with Singapore Bus Services.

In 2003 CIE D415 with UK registration BNT75K appeared at EFE SHOWBUS International.
The bus is kept in the UK but was brought to the event by a party from Southern
Ireland. Unfortunately it broke down before moving in to its allotted parking bay.
