A former CIE Olympian with Alexander (Belfast) body was at SHOWBUS in 2003 as
part of the Olympian display. Reregistered YAZ8773 the bus was a recent
acquisition by Kimes of Folkingham.

Another ex CIE Olympian at SHOWBUS in 2003 formed part of the centenary display
of Ipswich Buses. This bus too has been reregistered as H705PTW and gained the
name Western Sovereign.

16121 Leyland PD2 Highbridge C.I.E. (Ireland).C.I.E. (Coran lompair Eireann) roughly translates as Ireland's Transport Company and vehides in this attractive livery continued to carry the white wing tips, a Wartime measure, into the 1960s. Registered ZH 4538, fleet number R389 operates route 9 to Dalkey from Nelsons Pillar and carries adverts for Cork Dry Gin and Kennedy's Bread. |
