The bus side of the Harris Coach company expanded considerably with a distinctive livery and a fleet of modern vehicles on London transport services, however in 2000, the company faced financial problems and London Transport ended up taking the routes over. trading as East Thames Buses
P327NHJ With the 108 route came a fleet of Optare Excels branded for the Lewisham Link. Here P327NHJ is seen at the northern terminus - Stratford Bus Station.
 
P217MKL & Harris Olympian A Kent based Arriva Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer passes one of Harris' East Lancs Olympians at Greenwich.
 
Harris Amsterdam Harris Coaches played a pioneering part, with Grey Green, in developing what has become the Eurolines service to Amsterdam. This DAF/Van Hool coach is seen in that city, but not on that work. The trail of exhaust fumes resulted in the coach being stopped by the police a few minutes later!
 
LHS A rarity in the Harris Coaches fleet was this Plaxton bodied Bristol LHS seen at Showbus 80 at Thorpe Park.
 
D303PEV An unusual acquisition for Red Rose of Aylesbury was this Volvo B9M with Plaxton Bustler bodywork from Bharat in the West Midlands, in whose livery it was used initially. The vehicle originated with Harris Bus in Essex. It is seen here resting on a private hire duty in High Wycombe.
