preservation. It is seen here in the livery of Ludlows of Halesowen, an intermediate owner
of this short 2-door National. However the bus is parked up at Cryers Hill yard in High Wycombe.

Red Rover had three of Portsmouth's P-registered dual door Nationals, which they swapped with a scrap dealer for three of their L-registered Nottingham dual door Nationals. One of the three (103, 111 and 114) is seen at Aldbury Pond on the 27.

Red Rover's first successful Hertfordshire tender was for Tring town service, once operated by London Country's Tring depot with the green Merlin, XMB15. Normally the preserve of the Optare City Pacers ex Portsmouth 154 has temporary route information in the windscreen at the launch of the service, route 27. The bus has reverted to its London route number 387 with operator Red Rose.
