Eastbourne Buses coach fleet had several DAF SB3000 Ikarus Danube coaches, but these have given way to Irizar bodied Scanias under the Flagship branding. 103 (R803MDY) is seen on Brighton seafront. |

With the Ikarus coach carrying "Eastbourne Buses" branding, this coach seated East Lancs Olympian looks more like a bus, but has "Eastbourne Coaches" branding. Fleet number 1 (B101PHC) dates from 1985 and was part of a short lived venture joint with London Buses, who purchased some similar vehicles for a London - Eastbourne express service. |

58 (E858DPN) was one of 12 Northern Counties bodied Olympians bought in 1988. Ten were sold ten years later to East Yorkshire, replaced locally by new Optare Spectras. 58 survived - along with 57, both renumbered by the addition of 200 to their fleetnumbers in 2002. |

In the eighties, as something of a special relationship developed with London Buses, not only was there the joint doubledeck coach service between Eastbourne and London but Eastbourne acquired some LT Leyland Nationals, including LS68 (OJD868R) seen outside Eastbourne Station. |

Leyland National 2822 (MOD822P) is seen as part of the Top Line fleet, another special relationship between Southdown and Eastbourne Buses in Hastings, though the bus is seen here in Eastbourne on route to Hastings. The company competed with former NBC subsidiary Hastings & District, formed as an offshoot of Maidstone & District. In the end the Top Line operations were merged with Hastings & District once both companies were owned by Stagecoach. |
