Trent and Barton's Rainbow routes are now living up to their name. One of the latest Excels for the R5
is seen alongside a more traditionally liveried Reading example at EFE Showbus 98. The vehicles were
posed to welcome vehicles to the rally at the Duxford Entry gate.

Barton did not have a huge fleet
of Optare Excels to start with, Dennis Darts were holding sway back in 97 when this vehicle formed part
of the Optare Excel line up, sponsored by Optare, at EFE Showbus 97.

Rainbow Route 4 received different coloured Excels in 2001 and 257 (Y257DRC) is seen at EFE SHOWBUS
International 2001.
