Hants & Dorset Bristol LH6L ECW 3856
Sister LH6L 461 (AFB592V) is seen still in NBC green having transferred with 455 and others to Hants & Dorset in late 1981. The rear was cutaway for use on the Sandbanks Ferry and with NBC reorganisation passed to Wilts & Dorset keeping its 3856 fleet number. They converted 3856 into a breakdown recovery vehicle in 1997, but reinstated it to passenger service the following year. Not long after it was sold to Weesp in Holland, use unknown. After four year it returned to the UK and acquired as a back up for its two Optare Solos by Abus then in late 2004 Dr Mike Walker of the Bristol Vintage Bus Group acquired it for preservation, and it was back in NBC leaf green.
