Bournemouth Yellow Buses Centenary Volvo open top
2002 sees the centenary of Bournemouth's own bus fleet. Broadly speaking the fleet is still in the same ownership as it was 100 years ago. To commemorate the occasion, new Volvo B7TL / East Lancs Vyking Cabryolet (!) 431 (HJ02HFB) has been painted gold and lettered accordingly. The bus is seen at the Southsea Spectacular before the heavens opened.

431 was alongside one of Swindon/Thamesdown's new SPD Darts for Park & Ride services.

At Duxford 431 is seen displayed with other Gold Run entrants. The First Aberdeen Albion led the procession.
 
Bournemouth Yellow Buses Centenary Volvo open top "Air Show" was obviously pre-programmed on 431's blind and made a suitable destination for Duxford. The man with the umbrella and the spots on the camera lens show the day was not without the occasional drops of rain!
